Together

"Together" by Steven Curtis Chapman

Scripture:

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out.

Devotion:

Right now, there is so much going on in our communities, our nation, and our world. But in a month, year, or decade from now we must lean on each other, brothers and sisters. It is okay to ask for help if you need it. But it is also so important to come together and help others in need. Step out of your comfort zone- the Holy Spirit will guide you along the way. Find an area of need in your community or church and come together to help make a difference in someone else's life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for my community. You have brought such amazing and different people together to create something so beautiful! Together, with the people beside me and the boldness You gave us, I pray that our neighborhoods will see Your goodness shine brightly. Amen.
