Scripture:

Matthew 28:5-7

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid,for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

Devotion:

Happy Resurrection Sunday! What a powerful song to proclaim that Jesus is alive!!! I love when I hear some exciting news that a loved one just got a promotion or is getting married or even having a baby! When I am so excited I just want to share the news with everyone. Can you imagine how Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene felt when they heard the great news that Jesus is ALIVE?!? I would be running everywhere not just telling everyone I run into that Jesus is alive, but yelling it so the people past those right in front of me could hear! Let's go and proclaim this to the world.

Prayer:

Father, What a day to celebrate Your Son, Jesus, has risen! You have given us the promise of a savior and while I cannot fathom this sacrifice You gave, I am humbled and grateful for this. I don't deserve any of it, but You love me! I pray that I am filled with so much joy like Mary, mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene that I will share the gospel to all people. In Jesus' precious and most mighty name! Amen.
